RESUMEN
Colombia es el cuarto país a nivel mundial en biodiversidad y cuenta con ecosistemas estratégicos que van desde el mar Caribe hasta
los páramos, esenciales por su función de regulación hídrica y provisión de servicios ecosistémicos. En las últimas décadas estos
ecosistemas han sufrido una intensa presión ambiental der ivada de prácticas agropecuarias intensivas, minería, deforestación, uso
indiscriminado de agroquímicos y ocupación en zonas protegidas, agravada por la variabilidad climática. En la jurisdicción de l a
Corporación Autónoma Regional de Cundinamarca (CAR), estas dinámicas han acelerado la degradación de suelos, la pérdida de
bosques de altura, el deterioro de fuentes hídricas y la vulnerabilidad de comunidades camp esinas dependientes de sistemas
productivos tradicionales. El obje tivo de este artículo es revisar y contrastar marcos conceptuales, normativos y experienciales sobre
la adopción de tecnologías productivas que fortalezcan prácticas agrícolas sostenibles en ecosistemas de páramo bajo la jurisdicción
de la CAR, con énfasis en mitigación y adaptación al cambio climático. Metodológicamente, el artículo se desarrolla como una reflexión
académica sustentada en la revisión documental de normatividad sobre cambio climático, informes técnicos, experiencias comunitarias
de reconversión productiva y literatura científica sobre tecnologías agrícolas sostenibles. La síntesis se organiza en tres ejes: i) la
reconversión productiva como instrumento para r educir la presión antrópica sobre los páramos; ii) el potencial de tecnologías como la
agricultura de precisión, los sistemas agroforesta les, los bioinsumos y las energías limpias para optimizar el uso del suelo y del agua;
y iii) el papel de la gobernanza ambiental y la participación comunitaria para viabilizar la adopción tecnológica. Se concluye que articular
saberes locales, investigación científica, marcos normativos e innovación tecnológica es clave para transitar hacia sistemas agrícolas
más resilientes y sostenibles. Futuras investigaciones deberían evaluar el impacto de estas tecnologías en parcelas de páramo, analizar
modelos de financiamiento y explorar herramientas de monitoreo participativo.

Technology adoption for sustainable agriculture in páramo ecosystems under CAR jurisdiction: climate mitigation and
adaptation
ABSTRACT
Colombia ranks fourth worldwide in biodiversity and has strategic ecosystems ranging from the Caribbean Sea to the páramos, which
are essential for their role in water regulation and the provision of ecosystem services. In recent decades, these ecosystems have been
subject to intense environm ental pressure derived from intensive agricultural practices, mining, deforestation, indiscriminat e use of
agrochemicals, and the occupation of protected areas, exacerba ted by climate variability. Within the jurisdiction of the Regional
Autonomous Corporation of Cundinamarca (CAR), these dynamics have accelerated soil degradation, the loss of high-altitud e forests,
the deterioration of water sources, and the vulnerability of rural communities dependent on traditional pro duction systems. The aim of
this article is to review and contrast conceptual, regulatory, and experiential frameworks on the adoption of productive technologies that
strengthen sustainable agricultural practices in páramo ecosystems under the jurisdiction of CAR, with an emph asis on climate change
mitigation and adaptation. Methodologically, the article is developed as an academic reflection based on a documentary review of climate
change regulations, technical reports, community experiences of productive reconversion, and scientific literature on sustainable
agricultural technologies. The synthesis is organized into three main axes: (i) productive reconversion as an instrument to reduce
anthropic pressure on páramos; (ii) the potential of techno logies such as precision agriculture, agroforestry systems, bio-inputs, and
clean energies to optimize soil and water use; and (iii) the role of environmental governance and community participation in making
technological adoption viable. It is concluded that articulating l ocal knowledge, scientific research, regulatory frameworks, and
technological innovation is key to advancing toward more resilient and sustainable agricultural systems. Future research should assess
the impact of these technologies on páramo plots, analyze financing models, and explore participato ry monitoring tools.
