Resumen
Este trabajo es producto del marco teórico del proyecto
de investigación, “Abordaje de la mediación comunitaria
como método para solucionar conflictos de convivencia de
la población desplazada adscrita al programa ALPOSD”.
Se develaron tres escuelas predominantes en el ámbito
americano que definen y desarrollan la mediación como
un proceso o método alterno de resolución de conflictos;
institución que poco desenvolvimiento ha tenido dentro
del contexto social colombiano, siendo reglamentada de
manera autónoma e independiente y con limitaciones solo
para la disciplina del derecho penal y policivo. Se estableció
que el método transformador de Baruch y Folger es el más
aconsejable para el facilitador en el marco del abordaje y
resolución de problemas, cuando el objeto que marca la
diferencia afecta los derechos, posiciones e intereses de
un grupo de personas, en tanto que, lo pretendido con la
mediación comunitaria es la reconstrucción armónica del
tejido social, convirtiendo la tipología del conflicto en algo
positivo.

Abstract
This work is the initial product of the construction of the
theoretical framework of research project “Approach to
community mediation as a method to solve coexistence
conflicts of the displaced population assigned to the ALPOSD
program”. Three predominant schools in the American sphere
were unveiled that define and develop mediation as an alter-
native dispute resolution process or method; institution that
has little development has had within the Colombian social
context, being regulated autonomously and independently
and with limitations only for the discipline of criminal and
police law, It was established that the transforming method
of Baruch and Folger is the most advisable for the facilitator
in the framework of approaching and solving problems,
when the object that makes the difference affects the rights,
positions and interests of a group of people, as long as
which, what was intended with community mediation is the
harmonious reconstruction of the social fabric, turning the
typology of conflict into something positive.
