Cada e je estratég ico de la emp resa debe estar respaldado por una cul-
tura organizacional que aporta los valores, las costumbres, mitos y ri-
tos que tienen relación con ellos. Y así como es conoc ido que hay una
cultura para la e! ciencia, otra para la calidad y una más para el servicio,
se necesita también tener una cultura de innovación que respalde esta
estrategia de diferenciación.
El primer componente que se debe aclarar en esta línea de acción lo
constituyen los valores que están involucrados en la estrategia de inno-
vación, los cuales en su esencia son los siguientes:
ACTITUD DE CAM BIO
Es tal vez la más importante de las capacidades dinámicas, es un ele-
mento importante de exibilidad mental, y, como se planteó al inicio,
está integrada a la innovación porque se identi! ca con el cambio. La
rigidez es uno de los aspectos que más afecta negativamente a la inno-
vación por la vía de evitar el riesgo, debido a que di! culta el desapren-
dizaje, frenando el cambio. Un punto que se debe resaltar aquí es la
tolerancia mental a la ambigüedad, condición necesaria para entender
un mundo cambiante y, en consecuencia, para adaptarse creativamen-
te a él. Este trabajo no es fácil, debido a que tenemos que enfrentar
prácticas inveteradas de pensar, tales como el paradigma metafísico y
