Resumen
El objetivo de este capítulo es lograr una reflexión de la desin-
tegración familiar y el duelo que experimentan los migrantes
venezolanos en su tránsito por la frontera colombo-vene-
zolana y la importancia de los procesos de resiliencia en ellos
a partir del análisis de algunas investigaciones publicadas.
Se llevó a cabo una revisión documental fundamentada en
la identificación, descripción e interpretación del abordaje
conceptual, las familias estudiadas y los cambios ocurridos
en su estructura familiar y en las funciones que cumplen
estos sistemas al vivir la migración, centrando el interés del
análisis en la separación que sobrellevan sus integrantes
y las consecuencias emocionales que genera. Estas inves-
tigaciones reiteran la relevancia de realizar estudios en las
familias migratorias que evidencien sus dinámicas de origen
y destino, la forma como interactúan desde la virtualidad,
la no presencialidad y lo simbólico, su organización para
mantener el cuidado de sus familias y la satisfacción de sus
necesidades básicas, destacando especialmente el rol de las
mujeres quienes tienen la mayor responsabilidad de suplir
el bienestar físico, emocional, afectivo y económico de sus
familiares. Además, se revelan pocas investigaciones sobre
la contribución de los hombres en la protección de la familia.

Abstract
The objective of this chapter is to achieve a reflection of
migrants’ family disruption and mourning in their transit
through the Colombian-Venezuelan border and the impor-
tance of resilience processes in them from the analysis of
some published research. A documentary review was carried
out based on the identification, description and interpre-
tation of the conceptual approach, the families studied and
the changes that occurred in their family structure and in the
functions that these systems fulfill when living the migration,
focusing the interest of the analysis on the separation that
their members cope with and the emotional consequences it
generates. These investigations reiterate the importance of
carrying out studies in migratory families that demonstrate
their dynamics of origin and destiny, the way they interact
from virtuality, non-presence and symbolism, their organi-
zation to maintain the care of their families and the satis-
faction of their basic needs, especially highlighting the role
of women who have the greatest responsibility to supply the
physical, emotional, affective and economic well-being of
their families. In addition, little research is revealed on the
contribution of men in the care of their families.
