Resumen
Este capítulo tiene una doble finalidad: por un lado ampliar,
la mirada de la integración con una aproximación desde la
perspectiva de la persona que emigra, centrando el énfasis
de la integración social en los elementos objetivos, pero
también en sus dimensiones subjetivas y como segunda
finalidad, proponer un abordaje teniendo en cuenta la
perspectiva de la población receptora y la subjetividad
del inmigrante como un actor que puede ser reconocido
y validado socialmente y cuyas capacidades confiere a la
transformación social en el contexto donde se produce la
integración.

Abstract
This chapter has a double purpose: on the one hand, broad-
ening the view of integration with an approach from the
perspective of the person who emigrates, focusing the
emphasis on social integration on the objective elements
but also on their subjective dimensions and as a second
purpose, propose an approach taking into account the
perspective of the recipient population and the subjectivity of
the immigrant person as an actor that can be recognized and
socially validated and whose capabilities confers to social
transformation in the context where integration occurs.

INTRODUCCIÓN
Cuando se habla de inmigración, uno de los conceptos con
los que se relaciona, es “integración”, término repetido por
los medios de comunicación y estudiado por las Ciencias
Sociales, entre ellas la Psicología Social, debido a que su
complejidad se da a nivel de los elementos intrapsiquicos
del ser humano y en los elementos sociales que le implican
al inmigrante, adaptarse a las nuevas condiciones que
encuentra en el país receptor y que se constituyen a su vez
