RESUMEN
El propósito del artículo fue resignificar los componentes esenciales de las competencias
socioemocionales en educación ante los desafíos de la sociedad actual.
Metodológicamente, el estudio se sustentó en un análisis documental y la técnica
consistió en la revisión bibliográfica de bases de datos especializadas, tales como:
Scopus, SciELO, Redalyc y ERIC entre los años 2019 al 2025. Como resultado, se pudo
constatar que el autoconocimiento, la autorregulación, la empatía, las habilidades
sociales y la toma de decisiones responsables, han sido componentes esenciales por
incorporar en el currículo educativo para atender a los desafíos plantados por los
cambios, dinámicas, influencia social, cultural e incluso emocional; siendo este último el
aspecto relevante para gestionar el alcance de las metas. Por ende, se concluyó que las
relaciones saludables entre docentes y estudiantes podría promover un equilibrio entre
las competencias sociales, académicas y emocionales como base para el desarrollo
integral.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of the article was to redefine the essential components of socioemotional
competencies in education in the face of the challenges of today's society.
Methodologically, the study was based on a documentary analysis and the technique
consisted of a bibliographic review of specialized databases such as Scopus, SciELO,
Redalyc and ERIC between 2019 and 2025. As a result, it was found that self-knowledge,
self-regulation, empathy, social skills and responsible decision making have been
essential components to be incorporated into the educational curriculum to meet the
challenges posed by changes, dynamics, social, cultural and even emotional influence;
the latter being the relevant aspect to manage the achievement of goals. Therefore, it was
concluded that healthy relationships between teachers and students could promote a
balance between social, academic, and emotional competencies as a basis for integral
development.
