Resumen: Este estudio trata sobre la noción y naturaleza de la Dogmática Jurídi-
ca como la ciencia del dere cho stricto sensu, cuyo ob jeto de análisis son las no r-
mas de un determinado ordenamiento jurídico-positivo, buscando precisar los po-
sibles sentidos y alcances de las mismas. Por tanto, es posible calificarla como una
ciencia normativa p orque estudia o analiza normas jurídicas, pero no es normadora
o normatriz porque no prescrib e ni dicta normas de ningún tipo.

Abstract: This study deals with the notion and nature of Legal Dogmatics as the
science of law stricto sensu, whos e object of analysis are the norms of a gi ven le-
gal-positive order, seeking to specify the possible meanings and scope of them.
Therefore, it is possible to qualify it as a normative science because it studies or
analyzes legal norms, but it is not normative because it does not prescribe or dictate
norms of any kind.
