RESUMEN
El propósito del presente estudio consistió en comprender los criterios andragógicos
desde la práctica docente en la educación inicial en la Universidad de La Guajira. Su
metodología estuvo enfocada en el paradigma interpretativo con enfoque cualitativo y
método inductivo de tipo fenomenológico, empleando como técnica la entrevista y el
guion de preguntas como instrumento. Entre los resultados destaca que la andragogía,
entendida como un factor enfocado en el aprendizaje de adultos, influye en la praxis
docente de los estudiantes cursantes de educación inicial pertenecientes a la Universidad
de La Guajira, fomentando en ellos la autonomía y la motivación intrínseca y
conduciéndolos a aplicar estrategias flexibles, dinámicas y colaborativas. Esto permite
concluir que los docentes universitarios de la educación inicial, deben tomar en cuenta
criterios andragógicos para el enriquecimiento de sus prácticas, en función de dar lugar
a la participación activa, a la reflexión crítica y al aprendizaje significativo.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to understand andragogical criteria from the perspective of
teaching practice in early childhood education at the University of La Guajira. Its
methodology focused on the interpretive paradigm with a qualitative approach and a
phenomenological inductive method, using interviews and a script of questions as
instruments. Among the results, it is noteworthy that andragogy, understood as a factor
focused on adult learning, influences the teaching practice of students enrolled in early
childhood education at the University of La Guajira, fostering autonomy and intrinsic
motivation in them and leading them to apply flexible, dynamic, and collaborative
strategies. This leads to the conclusion that university teachers of early childhood
education should take andragogical criteria into account to enrich their practices, with a
view to encouraging active participation, critical reflection, and meaningful learning.
