Resumen
En el presente trabajo se muestra un estudio descriptivo de los principales as-
pectos de los valores jurídicos, tales como su definición, tipos, fundamento, relación
con los derechos humanos, importancia en la labor de creación del Derecho y así
mismo en la aplicación del Derecho, es decir sus efectos vinculantes en las decisio-
nes judiciales, resaltando esto como el objetivo principal, siguiendo la doctrina de
dos prominentes especialistas sobre la materia: García Maynez y Pérez Luño. Se
realizó una indagación documental teórica sobre la materia de los autores señala-
dos. Se concluye sobre la importancia valorativa en la interpretación judicial más
allá que mera inspiración o norte de esta, siendo en campo una labor directiva en
la aplicación del Derecho que debe ser considerada en sus ventajas a favor de los
derechos humanos, pero también en sus riesgos relacionados con una posible tira-
nía de los valores.
