RESUMEN
El presente estudio analiza los factores que influyen en el emprendimiento de las mujeres dueñas de negocios, considerando variables
como apoyo gubernamental, barreras de gé nero y culturales, financiamiento, formación, autoeficacia, liderazgo y apoyo famil iar. Se
trata de una investigación cuantitativa y transversal, basada en un cuestionario con 42 ítems en escala Likert, aplicado a 419 mujeres
empresarias de la Ciudad de México y Estado de Méx ico mediante muestreo por conveniencia. A través de un análisis factorial
exploratorio, se identificaron seis factores principales. Los resultados revelan que las participantes perciben desinterés por parte de las
autoridades y de las políticas públicas, así como desigualdad de género en el acceso a apoyos gubernamentales. Asimismo, reportaron
trato desigual por parte de clientes o proveedores en negociaciones comerciales, dificultades para acceder a financiamiento y
deficiencias en la formación empresarial. A pesar de ello, la mayoría confía en sus cap acidades de lide razgo, aunque reconoce la
necesidad de mayor capacitación. El apoyo familiar es frecuente, pero el trabajo doméstico sigue recayendo principalmente en ellas.
Se concluye que es necesario mejorar el ecosistema empresarial para las mujeres mediante políticas que faciliten el acceso al
financiamiento, formación en liderazgo y gestión, y redes de colaboración, además de fomentar la corresponsabilidad en el hogar para
reducir la carga doméstica y fortalecer su participación económica.

Determinant factors of entrepreneurship among women business owners in Mexico City and the State of Mexico
ABSTRACT
This study analyzes the factors that influence women’s entrepreneurship among business owners, considering variables such as
government support, ge nder and cultural barriers, fina ncing, training, self-efficacy, leadership, and family support. It is a quantitative,
cross-sectional investigation, based on a 42-item Likert-scale questionnaire applied to 419 women entrepreneurs from Mexico City and
the State of Mexico through convenience sampling. An explorato ry factor analysis identified six main factors. The results revea l that
participants perceive a lack of interest from authorities and public policies, as well as gender inequality in access to government support.
They also reported unequal treatment from clients or suppliers in business negotiations, diffic ulties in accessing financing, and
deficiencies in entrepreneurial training. Despite these challenges, most women expressed confidence in their leadership abilities,
although they acknowledged the need for further training. Family support is common, but domestic work continues to fall primarily on
them. The study concludes that it is necessary to improve the entrepreneurial ecosystem for women through policies that facilitate
access to financing, leadership and management training, and collaboration networks, in addition to promoting shared responsibility in
the household to reduce the domestic burden and strengthen women’s economic participation.

Introducción
La literatura reciente señala que la actividad empresarial es un motor clave para el crecimiento económico sostenido y el aumento
continuo del nivel de vida de los ciudadanos, ya que fomenta la innovación y mejora la competitividad. Asimismo, contribuye a reducir
la desigualdad de ingresos y a promover la equidad y la justicia social (Stoica et al., 2020). Según la Comisión Económica para América
Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL, 2023) veinticinco de cada cien mujeres en América Latina no tiene n ingresos propios. En México, la
participación económica de las mujeres es del 46%, lo que implica que 46 de cada 100 mujer es están involucradas en actividades
económicas (INEGI, 2025).
