RESUMEN
En la formación agropecuaria, la enseñanza centrada en la experiencia práctica constituye una estrategia clave para desarrollar
competencias sostenibles; al pe rmitir aplicar conocimientos en escenarios reales, que fortalecen tanto el saber técnico, la conciencia
ambiental, el bienestar animal y el compromiso social. El objetivo de esta investigación fue evaluar el impacto de un programa de
crianza porcina sobre el aprendizaje sostenible de los estudiantes de la Facultad de Agropecuaria y Nutrición de la Universidad Nacional
de Educación Enrique Guzmán y Valle, Perú. El estudio, de enfoq ue cuantitativo, presenta un diseño preexperimental, aplicando un
pretest y un postest mediante un cuestionario validado por juicio de expertos y sometido a pruebas de confiabilidad (alfa de Cronbach
= 0.785). Participaron 138 estudiantes de la facultad de Agropecuaria y Nutrición de la Universidad Nacional de Educación y del Instituto
Agropecuario de la localidad de Lurigancho - Chosica, seleccionados por conveniencia. El análisis estadístico incluyó la prueba de
Kolmogorov - Smirnov para evaluar la normalidad y la prueba de los rangos con signo de Wilcoxon para comparar las mediciones.
Entre los principales resultados, se evidenciaron diferencias esta dísticamente significativas entre el pretest y el postest (p < 0.05), lo
que indica una mejora en los conocimientos vinculados a prácticas sostenibles, bienestar animal, nutrición y sanidad porcina en los
estudiantes. Se concluyó que el programa de crianza porcina tuvo un efecto positivo y significativo en el aprendizaje sostenible de los
educandos, favoreciendo la integración de contenidos teóricos con prácticas agropecuarias reales y un a conciencia ético-ambiental.

Impact of a Pig Farming Program on Sustainable Learning in Agricultural University Students
ABSTRACT
In agricultural education, experience-ba sed learning constitutes a key strategy for developing sustainable competencies, as it enables
the application of know ledge in real-world settings that strengthen technical expertise, environmental awar eness, animal welfare, and
social responsibility. The objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of a pig-rearing program on the sustainable learning of
students from the Faculty of Agriculture and Nutrition at the National University of Education Enrique Guzmán y Valle, Peru. The study
adopted a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design, using a pretest and posttest administered through a questionnaire
validated by expert judgment and tested for reliability (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.785). A total of 138 students from the Faculty of Agriculture
and Nutrition of the National University of Education an d the local Agricultural Institute of Lurigancho –Chosica participated, selected
through convenience sampling. Statistical analysis included the Kolmogorov–Smirnov test to assess normality and the Wilcoxon signed-
rank test to compare measurements. The main results revealed statistically significant differences between the pretest and posttest (p
< 0.0 5), indicating improvements in knowledge related to sustainable practices, animal welfare, nutrition, and swine health. It was
concluded that the pig-rearing program had a positive and significant effect on students’ sustainable learning, promoting the integration
of theoretical content with real agricultural practices and strengthening ethical and environmental awareness.
