RESUMEN
Este artículo analiza el impacto de la Inteligencia Artificial (IA) en la enseñanza de la metodología de investigación. . Si bien la IA ofrece
mejoras notables en eficiencia y escalabilidad en todas las fases de la investigación (revisión literaria, análisis de datos, redacción), el
análisis revela riesgos profundos como sesgos algorítmicos, erosión del pensamiento crítico, opacidad de los sistemas ("caja negra") y
la potencial marginación de epistemologías no occidentales. Frente a estos desafíos, frente a esto, se rechaza el determinismo
tecnológico y se propon e una integración centrada en lo humano. La conclusión subraya que el verdadero potencial de la IA no está
en reemplazar, sino ahorrar tiempo liberando al investigador de tareas rutinarias para potenciar su labor crítica y creativa. Para ello, se
requiere una formación docente en "criticalidad digital", políti cas institucionales que alineen los incentivos y un marco éti co ampliado
que trascienda lo individual para abordar dimensiones estructurales y de gobernanza, asegurando que la tecnología sirva a los valores
pedagógicos fundamentales.

Artificial Intelligence in Research: Critical Rethinking of the Teaching of Research Methodology
ABSTRACT
This ar ticle provides a critical analysis of the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on teaching research methodology. It identifies a
significant gap between high student adoption and low integration by faculty. While AI offers notable gains in efficie ncy and scalability
across all research phases (literature review, data analysis, writing), the analysis reveals profound risks such as algorithmic biases,
erosion of critical thinking, opacity of systems ("black box"), and the potential marginalization of non-Western epistemologies.In the face
of these challenges, technological determinism is rejected in favor of a human-centered integration. The conclusion emphasizes that
AI's true potential lies not in replacement but in freeing the researcher from routine tasks to save time to enhance their critical and
creative work. Achieving this requir es teacher training in "digital criticality," institutional policies that align incentives, and an expanded
ethical framework that transcends the individual to address structural and governance dimensions, ensuring that technology serves
fundamental pedagogical values.

Introducción
La inteligencia artificial (IA) constituye actualmente una fuerza disruptiva en la educación superior, reconfigurando los
procesos de en señanza-aprendizaje y la gestión educativa. Esta transformación trasciende la mera adopción tecnológica,
representando una evolución hacia modelos educativos más personalizados, eficientes y accesibles (Chassign ol et al., 2018). Por lo
antes dicho se puede afirmar que la enseñan za de la metodología de investigación, históricamente anclada en enfoques tradicionales
centrados en el instructor, se encuentra en un proceso de reconceptualización profunda impulsada por los grande avances tecnológícos
Las evidencias más recientes demuestran una adopción acelerada pero desigual. Estudios glo bales indican que el 86% de los
estudiantes utiliza IA en sus estudios, con un 54% usándola semanalmente ( Kelly, 2024). Esta alta adopción estudiantil contrast a
marcadamente con la del profesorado, donde solo el 61% ha utili zado IA en la enseñan za y, de ellos, el 88% lo hace mínim amente
(DEC Digital Education Council's 2025 Global AI Faculty Survey). Esta brecha representa no solo una diferencia cuantitativa, sino un
desafío cualitativo para la integración efectiva de estas tecnologías.
Este artículo busca avanzar más allá del análisis descriptivo mediante un examen crítico de la transformación en la enseñanza
de la metodología de investigación impulsada por IA. Se examina la evolución desde modelos tradicionales, se presentan aplicaciones
prácticas y herramientas, se discuten beneficios y desafíos documentados, y se propone un marco de competencias docentes y
consideraciones éticas. Se incorpora especialmente una perspectiva crítica que contrasta las afirmaciones de la literatura fuente con
literatura internacional reciente, enriqueciendo el análisis con fuentes académicas adicion ales y cuestionando narrativas
tecnológicamente deterministas.
