La Neurociencia ha llamado la atención fuera del ámbito
cientíco, quizás por la incursión de especialistas de esta
rama en procesos judiciales, y por la publicación de obras
de neurocientícos que tratan de temas morales. Algunos
abogados han empezado a interesarse por la materia y a pensar
que puede tener que ver con lo jurídico.
Es bueno comenzar recordando que todo lo normativo está
ubicado en un terreno moral, en sentido amplio, que presupone
el concepto metafísico de la libertad. De modo que cualquier
indagación sobre Neurociencia, vinculada con Derecho y con
moral, nos conduce al terreno de los límites entre ciencia y
losofía.
El propósito de este trabajo será, pues, explorar las posibles
vinculaciones entre Neurociencia y Filosofía. En verdad,
habría que tener dominio de los dos campos para poder
hablar del asunto, pero los neurocientícos no se han sentido
limitados para hablar de la ética, así que desde la Filosofía se
intentará averiguar de qué trata la Neurociencia y exponer el
punto de vista losóco al respecto.
A veces las vinculaciones entre neurocientícos y juristas
pueden hacer temer que haya cierta supercialidad, que se trate
sólo de aparentar que se está al tanto de los últimos avances del
conocimiento, que se hable del asunto porque está de moda,
