La lucha por el reconocimiento en la teoría

política de Axel Honneth

Resumen

En el artículo se estudia la actualización sistemática que el sociólogo

ylósofoAxelHonneth hizoala teoríahegelianade laluchapor el

reconocimiento. Para ello nos propondremos varios objetivos. En pri-

mer lugar, se muestra cómo las premisas “metafísicas” del proyecto

hegelianonosoncompatibles conelpensamiento cientícocontem-

poráneo,yaqueellasnopuedenvericarseenlarealidadempírica.En

segundo lugar, se demuestra que el proceso a partir del cual Honneth

cancela el fundamento especulativo del proyecto hegeliano para lle-

var a cabo la re-actualización del mismo. La metodología que emplearemos en nuestra

investigación es de carácter teórico-cualitativo. Ella nos permitió recolectar la infor-

maciónnecesariaparael éxitodenuestrainvestigación.Además,dichametodología

permitió responder más abiertamente sobre algunas cuestiones de la psiquis humana e

interpretarlasaccionesindividualesysocialesapartirdedistintospuntosdevista.Al

naldenuestroartículoseobtuvovariasconclusiones.Sedacuentaquelasocasiona-

lesformasdereconocimientorecíprocosonelresultadodedeterminadasexperiencias

de“menosprecio”,yquedelasgurasdemenosprecioemergenmotivacionesmorales

que empujan a luchar hasta alcanzar el reconocimiento recíproco entre las personas.
