En el Museo de Ciencias se conserva un oso frontino que fue disecado hace mu chas décadas, en actitud agresiva, feroz, mostrando afilada dentadura y en posición de ataque. Una forma de representación del animal que está muy lejos de la usual conducta pacífica de ese plantígrado vegetariano y escurridizo que habita selvas de la sierra de Perijá y bosques andinos.
