RESUMEN
La comprensión del orden y el caos son construcciones de interpretación y conceptualización
humanas. Las diversas culturas humanas han buscado y construido explicaciones para su
propia existencia y la de su universo. Desde las respuestas mitológica y religiosas, hasta las
alquimistas y científicas, desde las matemáticas hasta la filosofía, se ha buscado responder
las interrogantes sobre los orígenes, el futuro y hasta el qué somos. Y un sentido para la
existencia. El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación pretende enfocar desde algunas
manifestaciones de los discursos artísticos, los acercamientos a nuevas concepciones del
conocimiento humano, específicamente las teorías del caos y la mecánica cuántica, pues el
arte también ha sido participe de estas búsquedas, desde hace varias décadas. Una posible
mirada esclarecedora a todos estos conflictos se puede encontrar en filosofías milenarias
como el budismo y el taoísmo, las cuales hacían reflexiones con respecto a la existencia de
continuidad de conciencia, nociones de insustancialidad e inescencialidad, anatma (no alma),
múltiples realidades, entre otras. En el momento actual, hay varias tendencias del
pensamiento humano que, sin resignarse a la imposibilidad de encontrar esas respuestas,
tratan de reconocer que encontrar esas verdades finales no es posible, aceptando el caos y la
indeterminación como condición de la existencia misma y reconociendo que el orden, aunque
deseable, no es posible. La metodología utilizada fue de tipo teórica, sin embargo, su
fundamentación apunta a la transdisciplinariedad, vinculando los estudios sociales, con la
historia, la historia de las mentalidades, los estudios de arte, en especial los que se orientan a
las hermenéuticas y las estéticas.

ABSTRACT
The understanding of order and chaos are constructions of human interpretation and
conceptualization. Diverse human cultures have sought and constructed explanations for
their own existence and that of their universe. From mythological and religious answers, to
alchemists and scientists, from mathematics to philosophy, it has sought to answer questions
about origins, the future and even what we are. And a meaning for existence. The objective
of this research work aims to focus from some manifestations of artistic discourses,
approaches to new conceptions of human knowledge, specifically chaos theories and
quantum mechanics, since art has also been a participant in these searches, for several
decades. A possible illuminating look at all these conflicts can be found in millenary
philosophies such as Buddhism and Taoism, which made reflections regarding the existence
of continuity of consciousness, notions of insubstantiality and inescenciality, anatma (not
soul), multiple realities, among others. At the present time, there are several tendencies of
human thought that, without resigning themselves to the impossibility of finding these
answers, try to recognize that finding these final truths is not possible, accepting chaos and
indeterminacy as a condition of existence itself and recognizing that order, although
desirable, is not possible. The methodology used was theoretical, however, its foundation
points to transdisciplinarity, linking social studies with history, the history of mentalities, art
studies, especially those that are oriented to hermeneutics and aesthetics.

INTRODUCCIÓN
El orden ha sido una fantasía humana desde los inicios mismos de la humanidad. Los seres
humanos han imaginado desde su propia conciencia originaria, que podrían controlar el
mundo y la naturaleza.
El orden ha sido la forma de explicar la propia existencia, así el mito, la religión, la filosofía,
el arte y la ciencia, son herramientas para ordenar y explicar el mundo, no solo para su
comprensión, sino y con ello, para asegurar el dominio sobre “lo otro”, una de las tareas
imperiosas en el proceso de domesticación y adaptación de la naturaleza a lo humano. Sin
embargo:
Se aproxima una crisis de percepción. La complejidad del mundo ha llevado al ser
humano a simplificar la realidad, a abstraer la naturaleza para hacerla cognoscible
y, tristemente, a caer en la trampa de la dualidad. Bien y mal; objetivo y subjetivo;
arriba y abajo. Pero la tendencia a ordenarlo todo, choca con la misma realidad,
