Postulados antiglobalización continúan sin materializarse
Cuando estalló la crisis económica internacional en 2008 se encendieron las alarmas y algunas voces auguraban el colapso capitalista. Los liderazgos de las grandes potencias -causantes de la onda de recesión que persiste todavía- optaron por criticar las amplias brechas del sistema y abogaron en ese momento por regular las multimillonarias ganancias de los bancos, eliminar los paraísos fiscales e incrementar los impuestos a grandes capitales, pasando por intervenir a privados con dineros del fisco.
El momento parecía ser estelar para el movimiento antiglobalización -suele llamarse en su seno alterglobalización-, cuyo discurso contra el neoliberalismo pasaba siempre a un segundo plano.
"Lo que ha hecho la crisis económica es confirmar las hipótesis y críticas que el movimiento antiglobalización ha difundido desde hace años. Al mismo tiempo, la crisis también fuerza a fomentar nuestro discurso, a dar respuesta a una situación que se expresaba hace 10 años cuando el movimiento empezó o adquirió su reconocimiento público", comenta el activista español Joseph María Antentas, coautor del libro Resistencias Globales.
