A los fines de la redención de que trata la Ley de Redención Judicial de la Pena por el Trabajo y el Estudio, el tiempo redimido se computará a partir del momento en que el penado comenzare a cumplir la condena que le hubiere sido impuesta (Artículo 507 de la Ley de Reforma Parcial del Código Orgánico Procesal Penal). El penado podrá solicitar cualquiera de las formas de cumplimiento de pena, de conformidad con el Artículo 500 de la Ley de Reforma Parcial del Código Orgánico Procesal Penal; igualmente en virtud de la Jerarquización de las Normas, se aplica con preferencia el Código Orgánico Procesal Penal, siendo Ley Orgánica, está por encima del Código Penal y por consiguiente al penado al cumplir: Un Cuarto ¼ de la pena, la cumple en fecha: 02-11-2010 en la cual puede solicitar DESTACAMENTO DE TRABAJO; una 1/3 parte de la pena, lo cumple en fecha: 02-09-2011, puede solicitar REGIMEN ABIERTO; la ½ mitad de la pena, la cumple el: 02-05-2013, en la cual puede solicitar INDULTO; las 2/3 partes de la pena la cumple el día: 02-01-2015, en la cual podrá solicitar su L.C. y las 3/4 partes de la pena la cumple el día: 02-11-2015, pudiendo solicitar el CONFINAMIENTO.
