A través de “La intervención en lo social como proceso”, Carballeda nos hace una
serie de invitaciones poco comunes en la academia. Son invitaciones a recorrer nuevos
caminos. Nos invita a construir una teoría de la intervención social desde la práctica
del trabajo social. Es una invitación a entender a los sujetos desde perspectivas poco
exploradas en las ciencias sociales como es el sujeto americano. Nos invita a desandar
“el orden” disciplinario integrando las más variadas dimensiones de la vida social de
sujetos que no son los esperados por las erosionadas instituciones actuales.
La intervención como proceso se empecina en encontrarle el orden en el caos,
pretende superar la devastación de la catástrofe. Si para Lewkowicz, la catástrofe
social nos provoca el desmantelamiento de una lógica sin armar otra distinta y de ahí
su poder fragilizador, para Carballeda, debemos explicar ese caos expandiendo los
límites epistemológicos y comprendiendo la profundidad de la crisis social a través de
las marcas en cuerpos y las subjetividades que provoca el desorden neoliberal.
Para ahondar en las profundidades de la crisis, Carballeda desarrolla una
perspectiva exploratoria que ausculta en los sujetos inesperados, en sus cuerpos
