Resumen
El objetivo del presente trabajo investigativo es determinar la garantía del
derecho a una salud integral de los trabajadores de orícolas en la Provincia de
Cotopaxi de la República del Ecuador, en cuanto a enfermedades profesionales
a largo o corto plazo, causadas por agentes químicos empleados por los mismos
en las industrias orícolas. Desde el punto de vista metodológico, se trata de
un estudio mixto tanto cuantitativo como cualitativo, realizado a través de una
encuesta a sesenta trabajadores oricultores, entrevistas a Jefes de Recursos
Humanos y profesionales de seguridad ocupacional, permitiendo concluir que
los químicos empleados en la producción de ores, afectan progresivamente a
la salud y el desarrollo integral de los trabajadores, determinando que no se
garantiza el derecho a la salud integral.
