Resumen
El presente trabajo aporta una reflexión sobre las actuales
tendencias político-criminales del intervencionismo penal, fruto
de la dicotomía riesgos/seguridad que caracteriza a la sociedad
postindustrial. Con este objetivo, se presenta una diferenciación
de los orígenes y contornos de los riesgos y su posible amenaza
para bienes jurídicos merecedores de tutela penal, a la luz de
las últimas reformas a las que se ha visto sometido el Código
Penal español.
Palabras clave: sociedad de riesgo, expansionismo, derecho
penal preventivo, populismo punitivo.
Globalization and citizen insecurity: some repercussions
of the latest reforms to the spanish Criminal Code.
Abstract
The present article offers a reflection on the current tendencies
in crime policy and penal intervention resulting from the
dichotomy of risks and security which characterizes post-
industrial society. Given this objective and with reference to
the recent reforms of the Spanish Criminal Code, the text
outlines the difference between the origins and contexts of risk
and their possible threats to legal goods which are safeguarded
by criminal law.

punitive populism.
