En esta obra científica se dieron cita diversos investigadores, profesionales,
perspectivas teóricas, enfoques metodológicos, saberes, universidades, el
Laboratorio de Ciencias Sociales (LACSO), la Fundación Luz y Vida, la Red por los
Derechos Humanos de Niños, Niñas y Adolescentes; así como los Observatorios
Venezolanos de Violencia del país. El propósito que los animó desde el principio fue
plasmar la difícil realidad que vivieron las niñas, los niños, los adolescentes y los
jóvenes (NNAJ) en Venezuela, en 2021. Situación que en 2023 se mantiene, e incluso
se ha agravado considerablemente.
Estos investigadores, bajo la conducción dedicada y sistemática de los también
investigadores, Gloria Perdomo, Roberto Briceño-León y Gustavo A. Páez S.,
conformaron un sólido equipo que emprendió la tarea de alcanzar un arduo
compromiso: atender “a la urgente necesidad de documentar y hacer visibles
distintas formas de violencia y vulneración de derechos contra la niñez y la juventud”.
Lo que encontramos en estas páginas son: “…realidades de sufrimiento, privaciones
y daños que siguen ocurriendo y se mantienen ocultas, ignoradas y silenciadas por
